To the Editor,
Diana, I don’t know whether people living in rural areas realise just how badly disadvantaged we are when it comes to internet connection. I have only lived in Canowindra for 4 years and am still not used to how slow and pathetic the service is to our area, and I do have ADSL.
My ADSL is as slow as dial up would be in the city (any city).
I have friends who live in Coffs Harbour who are raving about how good the new NBN is. They have no idea that we don’t even have the speed & efficiency that their old connection gave.
Also we don’t have the choice of service providers that exist in metropolitan areas. Just another city VS country issue I suppose.
