Dear Editor,
I’ve just spent another day dealing with Telstra and the horrendous charges for people that don’t have access to the ADSL network. I’m not sure if I am the only one, (surely I’m not) in the Canowindra area that cannot access the ADSL network. We have been paying $80 per month for the past 3 years and I regularly go over our 12 GB usage (I’m teaching and use the internet for lesson prep etc.) Today I was advised that I need to upgrade my plan as Telstra will no longer speed it up free of charge if I’m over, this new plan is a massive $160 and totally unsustainable.
Is this a common problem in your area? If so, we need to reach out to someone to help fight toward a cheaper service. Any thoughts or ideas?
