Great Eats

Valentine's Day

Looking for somewhere nice to go for Valentine’s Day?

ProvVista Nestled in the main street of Or- ange is an Italian eatery which transports diners to the heart of Tuscany! Carefully chosen local and Italian produce ensures that each dish delivers distinctive flavour.

Well-known Head Chef Adam Willoughby creates innovative interpretations of Tuscan cuisine to ensure that authentic flavours are captured in the signature dishes such as Chilli crusted squid, crumbed asparagus wrapped in prosciutto and mozzarella with garlic aioli, and wood-fired pumpkin and ricotta roulade with parmesan and sage butter. Gluten Free and kids’ meals are also available.

The Rocking Horse Lounge opened in April 2011 in the historic building formerly known as “Mackie’s Cafe”. It’s a family affair with chef Peter Bevan and host, Jenny Heffernan (Peter’s mother) welcoming you to their new dining experience. Peter had Mackie’s Cafe for eight years before taking a long break, then returning to reinvent this charming, rustic dining room into its very popular, very modern incarnation. The Rocking Horse spe-

cialises in ‘tasting plate’ dining in a mix-and- match style that is both moorish and fun. Its historic charm and elegance has captured the hearts of locals in Orange and visitors alike, making it a foodie hot spot for innovative Modern Australian cuisine at wallet pleasing prices. Be sure to book, because word about the honeycomb cheesecake is out.

Sister’s Rock Restaurant is located at the top of Borrodell Vineyard, overlooking the Pinot Noir block. Enjoy the food & wine in a venue with glorious views over the slopes of the Towac Valley to Orange in the distance. “Our philosophy of food has developed around a love of the variety of produce available in regional Australia”. All accompanied by Borrodell wines and views that go on forever.

The menu changes regularly according to seasonal availability. Our Chef, Alan Meaney, leads the Sister’s Rock Restaurant team. His passion for Borrodell’s local produce features in his menus, showcasing all the in-season delights from the orchard and surrounds. The menu is exciting and contemporary with tell-tale signs of his French and European training and experience. Come and try his delicious cuisine for yourself! Phone to discuss the current menu.
