Your Kids Vs The Online World

4 June, 2025 By Canowindra Phoenix Editor

Worried About Keeping Your Kids Safe Online? Not sure how to manage screen time, keep them safe, or navigate what they’re doing while home during the school holidays? Canowindra Connections Centre have you covered. Join them for a practical, down-to-earth workshop for parents and guardians of kids aged 5–14, just in time for the July school holidays.

Presented by Beck Carter – a mum who’s in the thick of it herself and a seasoned professional with over 20 years of experience working with students and families. Beck has spent more than 15 years in schools, helping young people safely navigate the online world and respond to the dangers of social media and the online world.

Beck will share real stories and experiences while equipping you with:

• Practical tools to protect your kids online

• Strategies for healthy screen habits

• Tips for open, effective conversations about online safety

• A look at what young people are using online, current trends and concerns

Choose from two session options: Monday 30 June or Thursday 3 July, 6pm at the Canowindra Connections Centre. A light supper will be provided. RSVP with your preferred date of attendance to 0480 450 079 or canconex_assist@outlook.com.
