The Canowindra Public School and St Edward’s Primary School leadership teams had a great trip to Sydney recently for the Young Leaders Conference, despite the extremely wet conditions.
At the Young Leaders Conference students listened to four inspiring speakers including: Olympic swimmer Bronte Campbell, Singer/songwriter and author Josh Pyke, Bondi Rescue Lifeguard Anthony ‘Harries’ Carroll and Lachie Smart the youngest pilot to ever fly around the world.
The students from Canowindra Public School also enjoyed a tour of Government House and then spent an hour chatting with the Governor of NSW, Her Excellency Margaret Beazley on the verandah overlooking the beautiful gardens and harbour.
As part of the excursion students took a walk to Circular Quay and a ferry ride to Darling Harbour for dinner.
