In 2022 the Canowindra Wrap With Love group had a very successful year, sending 62 rugs to Orange as well as 12 rugs to Ronald McDonald House. The rugs were distributed to young girls and boys for when they are in hospital.
This year the group hopes to continue these donations. The Wrap With Love group meets on the fourth Thursday of each month, with the first meeting for 2023 on Thursday, 23rd March from 10am-12pm.
Meetings are held in the Cabonne Home Support rooms, where members knit, chat and enjoy morning tea.
If you are able to knit a square 25cm x 25cm, the group welcomes you to join in. Community members have some donated wool at the rooms but many of the members donate the wool they knit.
Each rug consists of 28 squares, and group members can have them sewn together if you wish.
The group would love to see new members join to support their cause in providing rugs for people who are affected by wars, floods, fires and other disasters all over the world. An hour or two can make a big difference. Contact Nina on 6344 1213 to see how you can help.
