Finding a postcard in our mailbox is pure joy! From the carefully handwritten messages, to the colourful images and stamps, postcards are little surprises that delight, inspire and connect us.
October 1st is World Postcard Day and what better way to celebrate than to send a postcard or two. Help a child write their first postcard, send a message to a friend you haven’t seen in a while, thank someone for a kindness by sending them a postcard or share the joy of your travels. Whatever the reason or for no reason at all, sending a postcard is always a good idea.
Better still, come along to a World Postcard Day meet-up right here in Canowindra on Tuesday 1st October, 9.30am at Delice Coffee 18 Tilga Street, Canowindra.
Bring your own postcards, stamps, ballpoint pens and addresses. Postcards and stamps will be available to purchase on the day as well as a limited number of the official WPD 2024 postcards for free. There is no need to book, just turn up.
