Results of two matches played in the 2nd round of the Club Pairs. Betty Jenkins and Dianne Mooney defeated Libby Balcombe and Gwen Haydon 24-16. Moyna Rue (sub. for Nancy Morrow) and Deanna Noble defeated Jeanette Wheeldon (sub. for Marion Wilson) 26-12.
There were two social games played. Joyce Middleton and Diane Slattery defeated Daph Bryant and Christine Pickard 18-16. Liz Thornberry, Leanne Stevenson and Jill Messenger defeated Sharon Wynn, Shirley Robson and Sandy McDonald 21-11. Last week’s Lucky Draw was won by Daph Bryant and this week’s was won by Leanne West.
There is one match in the Club Pairs drawn to be played on Tuesday 25th August. Nancy Morrow and Deanna Noble v Daph Bryant and Christine Pickard. Two of our members are celebrating birthdays this month, Gwen Haydon on the 15th and Diane Slattery on the 27th. A very happy birthday to you both. The August birthday lunch will be held on Tuesday, 25th August, venue TBA to the members.
