On Tuesday the Final of the Club Triples event was played. The winners were Daphne Bryant, Christine Pickard and Gwen Haydon. They defeated Nancy Morrow, Jill Messenger & Deanna Noble 23-13. A well played match from Christine’s team with them playing excellent bowls.
Another social match played on 16 July was a game of triples with Leanne West, Sheryn O’Malveney and Liz Thornberry against Leanne Stevenson, Moyna Rue and Libby Balcombe. We welcome Leanne West to our Club and hope she enjoys the game of lawn bowls, hopefully we will see Leanne again next week.
Bobbie Turner and Colleen Crump defeated Karen Cox & Jeanette Wheeldon 19-18. The June point score was won by Betty Jenkins – congratulations Betty.
We are celebrating two birthdays in July, namely Deanna Noble 23 July and Shirley Robson 26 July. Happy birthday to our two birthday bowlers. Lunch will be at The Old Vic Inn on 23 July.
Next Tuesday we have a team representing the Central Western District in the Senior Fours event at Orange City Bowling Club. Good luck to our Canowindra team.
