We held our Christmas Party and presentation of trophies for 2017.
The winners and runners-up of the Championships and competitions were as follows:
• Major Singles – M. Gosper Runner-up L. Balcombe
• Minor Singles – J. Davies Runner-up D. Slattery
• Pairs Championship – L. Balcombe and J. Crump Runners-up S. McDonald and C. Pickard
• Triples Championship – M. Wilson, S. McDonald and M. Gosper Runners-up D. Bryant, C. Pickard and G. Haydon
• Fours Championship – Jenny Middleton, E. Petty, L. Balcombe and J. Crump Runners-up S. Robson, D. Bryant, C. Pickard and G. Haydon
• CWA Handicap Pairs – L. Burgess and M. Wilson Runners-up R. Tatterson and N. Morrow
• Rose Bowl Handicap Singles – J. Davies Runner-up D. Mooney
• Consistency – J. Davies Runner-up L. Balcombe
• Points Score – G. Haydon Runner-up E. Petty
• Merit Award – G. Haydon
• Club Person of the year – E. Petty

Three of our members celebrated birthdays in December, Betty Hodge on 2nd, Christine Pickard on 14th and Margaret Gosper on 18th. We wish you all a very happy birthday. Three of our members will celebrate birthdays in January, Nancy Morrow on 2nd and Libby Balcombe and Merlene Byrnes on 18th.

We wish to sincerely thank our efficient Executive President Betty, Secretary Ellen and Treasurer Christine, also the Match/Selection
Committee and the Social Committee for a job well done also all of our members who assist when required. Thanks to the Greenkeepers especially Mark (Sparky) Wright and David Beath who assists when he can, for always having the green or greens ready for us to play on when required.

Also thanks for the co-operation of the Chairman and members of the Board of the Canowindra Bowling Club Ltd.

Finally we wish you all a very Merry Christmas with your family and friends and a Happy New Year.
