On Tuesday 21st May, a Major Singles match was played between Cristy Sullivan and Sharyn Wynn. It was a well played match with both bowlers neck and neck throughout, with Sharyn the winner 25-24.
Other social matches included two Fours games between D. Bryant, C. Pickard, N. Morrow and L. Thornberry against S. McDonald (2 positions), J. Wythes and L. Balcombe. L. Balcombe’s team won 15-10. In the other match, C. Jones, J. McNaught, J. Messenger and M Rue played G. Haydon, D. Mooney. B. Jenkins and J. Boland. J. Boland’s team won 22-8.
The next match of the Major Singles will be played on 4th June between C. Pickard and S. Wynn. The Canowindra Women’s Bowling Club were sadened to learn of the passing of former bowler Janice Colleen Crump. We extend our sympathy to Colleen’s family.
