Women Of The Year Awards showcase women who have made outstanding contributions to the community and have paved the way for women in NSW, particularly the younger generation.
The Awards are given to inspiring role models, women who have demonstrated excellence in their career and women who have made significant contributions in their local community.
For the first time, we are introducing a new category – Harvey Norman’s Young Woman of the Year Award. This award acknowledges the critical role that young women play in changing the social and business landscape for women.
There are plenty of special women in our community who all deserve recognition, and for the first time, the NSW Government has added an award to recognise the achievements of young people in our community.
This is a wonderful opportunity to acknowledge the outstanding contributions and achievements of the inspirational women in your life.
There will be three categories this year; The Harvey Norman’s Young Woman of the Year Award A.H. Beard Community Hero Award – This award acknowledges local heroes and/or volunteers and women who are making an outstanding contribution to their local community.
The Premier Award for Woman of the Year – This award recognises women who have excelled in their career, field or passion and/ or have made a significant achievement in a traditionally male-dominated area.
Nominations can be made at www.women.nsw.gov.au and close on Monday, 9 January
2014 at 11.00pm.
The winners will be announced by the NSW Premier on Friday, 7 March 2014 at Parliament
