The tours are launching on August 5th with a refreshed itinerary to suit a variety of visitors. The tours will include cooking demonstrations, wine tasting, gourmet grazing plates to enjoy a food and wine pairing.
Assistant Manager for Cowra Tourism, Andrew Grinter, said “With an increased interest in the Cowra Wine region recently, we believe that the timing is right to launch our exciting new Wine and Forage tours.
Visitors are seeking experiences where they can meet the producers, taste their wares and purchase goods along the way. The Wine and Forage tours are all about showcasing the quality products on offer to our visitors whilst enjoying the stunning landscape of the Lachlan Valley”.
Events and Marketing Officer, Elizabeth Picker, says that the new food and wine tourism initiative is about a layering of interests for potential visitors.
“We are looking beyond the traditional wine visitor, offering a balance of history/ heritage with a food and wine tasting experience”.
