NAB Orange F.O.O.D Week, Australia’s longest running regional food festival, is sure to get your taste buds dancing. Held in Orange, and with a jam packed festival program with over 80 events, the annual NAB Orange F.O.O.D Week festival is where the food basket of NSW comes alive to showcase Orange’s finest fresh produce and cool climate wines.
President of the F.O.O.D Week Association, James Sweetapple, said that the festival is a celebration of the abundance and diversity of local produce and the region’s talented chefs, cooks, caterers, food producers, restaurateurs, baristas and wine growers.
“We are lucky to have food week every week in Orange and are proud to show off our region and the variety of events on offer including winery walks and tastings, feasts, food-inspired art exhibitions, markets and so much more. Orange F.O.O.D Week really does have something for everyone,” said Mr Sweetapple.
NAB Orange F.O.O.D Week boasts six signature events including: FORAGE (Sponsored by the Department of Primary Industries), the Autumn Grazing Dinner in Blayney, the F.O.O.D Train, F.O.O.D HQ, Festival Night Market and the Sunday Producers’ Brunch & Market. More than 80 other events hosted by local restaurants, cafes, caterers and cellar doors complement these signature events, creating a full program of long lunches, degustation dinners, foodie tours and wine tastings.
Other program highlights include rambling through a picturesque Apple Orchard; hands on cider making at Small Acres Cyder, Sourdough bread, croissant, and sweet bun making at Habitat Vineyard, Argentinian inspired food, wine and music at the ASADO event by Byng Street, and sparkling, street food and sunset watching at Cargo Road Wines.
