What Women Want…Spring Is Just Around The Corner

27 August, 2014 By editor

After a freezing winter it’s time to get yourself, and your wardrobe, prepared for a vibrant spring! For all of you ladies that are sick to death of pulling out the black skivvies and jumpers fear not, the fashions this season are simply outstanding.
For ladies that like bright, bold colours we have you covered. My store at the moment is bursting with beautiful spring colours and every week we are receiving new collections from Australia and Europe. Daffodil yellow is a prominent colour this season, along with cobalt blue and all shades of green. Every colour you can imagine is bursting out of our doors and we are so excited about the new fabrics and styling for spring. Natural fibres such as 100% cottons and linen cotton blends are very apparent as they are such a cool easy fabric to wear (and hide the bits we’d rather not show).
The biggest trend this spring is pants in bright, bold colours and patterns. The styling consists of either slim leg styling or soft pull on pants. These pants look terrific with a plain cotton tee and a soft cotton or silk scarf. Speaking of scarves, this season has everything from dingle dangles to prints in colours that can dress up a jeans and tee combo.
Not Your Daughters Jeans have new pull-on jeans for the Australian market. This product has retailed well in the states due to its quality and the fact that they are so darn comfy. I’ve never worn a jean like it, and I’ve worn a lot of jeans during my years in retail! NYDJ will also be rocking bright colours in October. If you have heard about these jeans and never tried them you are denying yourself true fashion pleasure, something that looks great…and feels comfortable! And as it’s made to such a high quality, you’ll be wearing them for years.
Goondiwindi Cotton has a new look design-wise for this spring. The have a new designer that has been in the rag trade a long time. The range still consists of their great polos however the style is somewhat “tricked up”. I am very excited about this range as the cotton they use is the best grade cotton in the world.
Philosophy’s range includes amazing styles and prints in dresses, skirts, jackets and cardis. These garments are perfect for travelling as they do not crush
For spring and summer I will be starting a private shopping experience. Simply grab a few friends and I will open especially for you! I will have champagne and nibbles and you can all have a great time trying on clothes. If you are half as excited as we are about the spring weather and fashions than it is time to head down and see Judy, Wendy or myself.
I am confident that whatever look you are after this season you will find all your fashion needs at Kendal. See you soon!
Take care
Kendal xx
