What Women Want…Find Yourself In Bali, Without The Cliches

24 September, 2014 By editor

Yoga sunriseAh the age old question, what do women really want? Last time I checked I was a woman and I want only a few simple things in life, to have a successful, well paid job, a loving partner, a happy life and to be able to eat copious amounts of crisps and stay thin. These are all aspirations I believe I can achieve eventually (apart from the crisp one) but a goal I’ve always wanted to reach was to be able to meditate successfully.
I believe I’ve only managed it once, when I was fourteen and sat in the garden breathing slowly and trying to empty my mind. Suddenly I was looking over the fence into my own garden at myself sat there, like some sort of ghost. I’m convinced this was an out of body experience though sadly I’ve never been able to replicate it, more than likely due to me always wondering whether I left the stove on when I try to clear my head.
Yoga has been less successful. I went to a Yoga class a few years back and after moving from the downward dog into the child’s pose I felt the risk of me emitting bodily noises was far too real. But just because I’m about as flexible as a tour of North Korea, doesn’t mean you should give up on these two methods of mind and body improvement, especially if it involves going to Bali…
