The Canowindra Creative Centre (CCC) is a registered not-for-profit group running activity groups at Orana House in Ferguson Street, Canowindra. It runs several programs throughout the week, such as craft, writing, sewing, mosaics and much more. Everyone is welcome to attend. A donation and membership fees are optional.
The Canowindra Creative Centre Shop is staffed and managed by volunteers, and it is located at 50 Gaskill Street, Canowindra. It provides a venue of local and regional made, upcycled, repurposed items. Membership of $20 annually is required and consignment of goods is 10% upon sale of products. Public Liability is provided. However, Product Cover is the choice and responsibility of the seller.
We currently have three sellers from outside our immediate region because we don’t have a maker of a particular product which is seen as a valuable addition to our range. The decision to accept a product in this circumstance is decided by our committee.
We carry a selection of items which are 100% purchased items. This includes helpful special needs items, dog leads, collars, harness and balloon wind spinners. We stock these products because, at the time of deciding to include them, we found it could be difficult to find some of these items. The balloon wind spinners are a fundraiser for the CCC.
The CCC group and shop’s aim is to compliment other local businesses and groups, support and encourage each other, assist the community, provide an outlet for makers and a way of fundraising to enable our activity groups to function. Craft items and tiles can be donated which is very appreciated by everyone.
