The 2024 Canowindra International Balloon Challenge Committee are looking forward to meeting with farmers.
The Canowindra International Balloon Festival, President Tom Beath and Balloon Director Brendon Mulloy, are inviting all local farmers and acreage land holders to a special community meeting on 22nd March, at 6pm at the Canowindra Services Club to discuss this year’s Balloon Festival.
The purpose of the meeting is to gain valuable feedback from land owners, have a look at maps of the area, determine where flights can land and take off from, weather conditions, harvest schedules and generally to meet and greet. Beverages and snacks will generously be provided by The Canowindra Services Club.
The Canowindra Challenge Incorporated volunteer committee has been meeting regularly and the planning is well underway for this year’s Balloon Festival running from 20th April through to the 27th April, 2024.
There has been a lot of planning and preparation going into this year’s event with the committee working closely with community groups, business owners and individuals to deliver events throughout the week-long festival.
The main attraction of the balloons and their teams are always the star of the week, with flights taking place morning and afternoon, weather dependent, the key grab on Saturday morning prior to the Canowindra Street Parade, The Cabonne Community Glow and a number of other balloon events taking place each day.
