Congratulations to the Forbes Magpies, winners of the Western League Challenge held in Canowindra on Sunday.
On Sunday 9 March, the annual Western League Tag Challenge was played in Canowindra. Fifteen teams took to the field on a very warm 32 degree day. The day went off without a hitch and everywhere you looked there were hot, but smiling faces.
Feedback from clubs was positive and their teams, support staff and supporters all had a great day and are all looking forward to next year. Results from the day were as follows:

• Pool C Winners: Bathurst St Pats Undefeated
• Pool D Winners: Canowindra Tigers UndefeatedIn the Semi Finals:
• Forbes Magpies v Orange United Warriors – Forbes won 26 – 0
• Bathurst St Pats v Canowindra Tigers – Bathurst St Pats won 14 – 0
The Grand Final saw Forbes Magpies take on Bathurst St Pats with Forbes Magpies running out the tournament winners in a tough 8 – 4 game. Player of the Tournament was Erin Naden from Forbes Magpies.
