Canowindra High School students at the Western CHS Athletics Championships at Barden Park, Dubbo, last Friday.
Congratulations to 14 students who proudly represented Canowindra High School at the Western CHS Athletics Championships at Barden Park, Dubbo, last Friday. Outstanding results were achieved by the following students:
• Hayley: 1st in the 16 years high jump, long jump and discus, 2nd in the 100m and triple jump, and 3rd in the 400m. Hayley jumped 4.79m to win the long jump and cleared 1.44m in the high jump.
• Eloise: 1st in the 17–19 years 1500m, with 3rd-place finishes in both the 800m and 3000m.
• Seth: 1st in the 16 years high jump with a clearance of 1.75m.
• Thomas: 1st in the 17–19 years javelin with an outstanding throw of 41.67m
• Aiden: 3rd in the 13 years 800m, improving his qualifying time by almost 20 seconds, while the 13 years boys’ 4x100m relay team of Nate, Aiden, Oliver and George finished a terrific fourth.
