St Eddies Primary School held a wonderful ‘War on Waste’ extravaganza day last Wednesday 26th June where students were placed in ‘environmental’ groups and participated in hands on activities to promote recycling and caring for our planet.
Reducing the amount of landfill was a key focus with students making some amazing artworks out of cloth, egg cartons, newspaper, bottle top lids and bees wax!
Students and families were set the challenge of a ‘nude food’ day whereby all food items were free from wrappers and landfill.
Amazing results were achieved throughout the day and learning about the importance of caring for our environment was a highlight.
St Eddies is very proud of all the ways they’re striving to help care for the environment while watching each and every student develop into young carers as well.
