Works are progressing on the banks of the Belubula River at the swinging bridge.
Significant progress has been made at the Swinging Bridge site, where efforts to stabilise the Belubula riverbanks are well underway.
Rock armouring and recontouring works of the banks will help to prevent erosion, ensuring the long-term stability of both the riverbanks and the foundations of the new bridge.
Following the stabilisation works, landscaping will begin with the planting of trees and grasses.
Construction of the new swinging bridge is scheduled to commence in November 2024.
A new Belubula Riverwalk along the northern side of the river commenced on Monday, 14 October 2024. This pathway will create a link between the swinging bridge area and Canowindra Road.
