A revamped NSW First Workshop program for 2016 has been launched by the NSW Government, providing tourism operators in Regional NSW with product development advice and industry resources to help grow tourism across the State.
Member for Orange, Andrew Gee said the 2016 workshops delivered by the State’s tourism and major events agency Destination NSW, will now extend over the full calendar year and deliver new, more targeted content through Market Ready and Export Ready streams around NSW and online.
“I am delighted to announce that tourism operators in our region will have the opportunity to expand their skills to help grow their business, by attending these fantastic workshops,” Mr Gee said.
“Our beautiful region has so much on offer and we must ensure that our local tourism operators provide the very best products and experiences to visitors to maintain a competitive edge.
“The 2016 NSW First Workshops will provide a unique platform to share current industry insights and expertise to help NSW tourism businesses develop and access market opportunities,” Mr Gee said. The first one in the local region is the Industry Development Workshop to be held at Orange on 27th July 2016. The Digital Webinar series commence running from the 31st May.
The five workshop categories are: handson Industry Development workshops, bitesized Digital Webinars, Export Ready 101 seminars, Inbound Strategy workshops and Seller Training for operators attending upcoming trade events.
“Initiatives such as the NSW First Workshops demonstrate the NSW Government’s commitment to ensuring our state continues to lead the nation in international and domestic visitors, visitor nights and visitor expenditure.”
