A good clash between the Canowindra Tigers and Eugowra over the weekend saw Eugowra take the win.
Eugowra scored two tries in the first 10 minutes of the game, setting the tone for the remainder of the game. Canowindra were a bit disorganised in attack and had a number of penalties, which set them back. Canowin- dra were able to score two tries before half time with Callum Clyburn making a great try under the post. Canowindra came out better in the second half with the forwards running a few more angles. With 10 minutes to go the score sat at 18-20, with Canowindra holding them out well. The crowd was roaring as Eugowra bouldered over the line to score the winning try in the corner.
“The Tigers were unlucky this week with the boys not getting up. We are in a lot better position with the new players looking very good and the more we train the more we are looking to be a big force in the second half of the competition,” said Barry Traves.
