How long have you lived in or around Canowindra and what do you like about living here? I live in the North Pole but I I’ve been coming to Canowindra every year for as long as children have wanted me to. I’ve known some of the Canowindra kids’ grandparents since they were little!
Where do you work and what do you enjoy most about your work? I work in the North Pole. I love staff lunches. Mrs Claus makes the best roast turkey.
What do you do to unwind after work or on weekends? Two words. Milk. Biccies. Good all year round and they keep me fitting snugly into my suit.
What are you really good at? Driving my sleigh. I have had a lot of practice of course but I still think you need a bit of skill to wrangle that thing especially when the Christmas Spirit meter is dipping!
What is your pet hate? Loud chewing.
What is on your bucket list? To go to Antarctica again. There are so rarely children there so I hardly get to visit. It’s a lot like my place in the North Pole.
If you could have a superpower what would it be and why? I wish I had the power to make sure no-one was lonely at Christmas. That goes for little kids and big kids (adults).
Tell us about your best holiday ever? I did a road-trip with the reindeer across the Aussie outback a few years ago. I was in my civvies of course and the reindeer had to stay in the campervan but we had a great time.
What makes your day? When a child wakes up and sees me. They think I’m magical but a happy kid at Christmas is pretty magical too!
Tell us an interesting fact about yourself? I can’t get COVID nor can my reindeer, elves or Mrs Claus! It’s pretty handy when you have to travel the entire world in one night!
What’s your life motto? It’s never too late to get on the nice list!
