Canowindra’s Old Vic Inn won Silver in the NSW Tourism Awards for Standard Accommodation in Sydney last week. This category is open to properties that deliver a broad range of amenities that exceed above average accommodation needs, and comes under those properties that have up to 4-star accommodation.
Graeme and Alison Beasley attended the Awards which were held at The Pavilion at Darling Harbour on Thursday 26 November. Over 700 people attended. Other finalists in this category were Atura, Blacktown, The
Lodge Outback Hotel, NSW, and the winner, Moama on Murray Resort, Murray Region. Graeme said, “it is a great honour to be judged second in NSW in this category. The Old Vic Inn were the only winners in any category from Cabonne Shire and it is an excellent opportunity to showcase Canowindra.”
The Old Vic Inn is continuing to grow in terms of large group bookings, who are using it as a base when they visit and explore what Canowindra has to offer. In fact, this week, they have enjoyed hosting a large group from Brigidine College in Randwick who stayed midweek for two nights. This
is great for the whole town, as these types of bookings have flow on effects to shops, restaurants and tourist attractions in the area.
On New Year’s Eve The Old Vic Inn will be open for dinner and what a great way to start to see the New Year in. Of course in the lead up to Christmas, there are still vacancies for those who are wanting to treat their staff to a Christmas Party. Give Graeme, Alison or Jenny a call at The Old Vic Inn to book for dinner or book your relatives in for Christmas.
