The Deli Lama and The Canowindra Phoenix are bringing the Great Cake & Curry Cookoff to Canowindra! If you’re the head chef in your household, show Canowindra what you’ve got!
Women, the best CAKE will receive some lovely bubbly and goodies.
Men, the best CURRY will receive a batch of beer to wash the hearty meal down.
Guest Judges: Tommy Jeffs (legend at the Deli Lama) and a special GUEST JUDGE!

How: It’s simple!
- Retrieve ‘Entry Form’ found in all issues of The Phoenix leading up to the cookoff
- Purchase your ingredients from Lawrence’s IGA. You can use items already in your pantry, we just need to see some ingredients are purchased from the IGA.
- Fill in an entry form and lodge together with $5 and IGA Receipt at The Phoenix office or at the Deli Lama by Thursday the 28th of August.
- Bring your cake or curry to the cookoff by 10.30am on Friday the 29th of August.
