
Over the course of the weekend from Friday 31st May – Sunday 2nd June 2019 a number of cyclists will be riding 300km through Central West NSW to boost spending in rural communities affected by drought.
With two ride distance options on day one and a single return ride option on day two cyclists will cover a total of 300km over the weekend. Not only will the cyclists be riding through the direct path of drought stricken land they will be stopping in affected towns suffering from the hardship of the drought.
Itinerary:
• Friday 31st May – Arrive in Molong for a briefing followed by dinner and drinks. All cyclists are encouraged to arrive before midday and head out to spend a little time and money visiting some local towns. Stay overnight in Molong.
• Saturday 1st June – After a morning coffee, depart for a ride of approximately 150km with a shorter 100km option on offer. Cyclists will stop in each small
community and employ local organisations and businesses to put on a morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea. In addition to the money spent, donations will
be made as cyclists travel through these communities.
• Saturday night – Stay overnight in Canowindra. Main team dinner with representatives from a number of the small surrounding villages where a funding
cheque will be presented.
• Sunday 2nd June – Ride back to Molong via Orange through a number of small communities.
