The County Education Foundation (CEF) of Canowindra celebrated this year’s Melbourne Cup in style with a sold out crowd making it a very successful fundraising event. The food and fashion were high stakes and the CEF are looking forward to making their Melbourne Cup fundraiser an annual event.
A huge thank you goes to Sarah and Tony Grant for donating their wonderful venue, Barry Burns for transporting everyone to and from the venue and to the MC, Mr Tommy Jeffs.
Best dressed awards were presented to Marianne Dowd, Sarah Refalo and Beau Watt. Lunch for two at Luke Nygen’s restaurant in Sydney, a shark dive at the aquarium and a cheetah encounter at the National Zoo were auctioned off, along with Tommy Jeffs generously donating a lunch for 6sixpeople.
Thank you to everyone who joined in the fun and flair, with all money raised helping the students of Canowindra in their future educational endeavours.
