What a wonderful week the Balloon Challenge was. Canowindra Challenge Board wishes to thank all those that made it possible. Firstly the landowners, our event can’t bring the economic benefits and joy to our town without you allowing us to launch and land on your properties. A huge thank you.
Our volunteers play a big role in the smooth running of the event. Michelle and her team worked wonders, from manning the office, selling merchandise, having the early morning tea and snacks ready, being Mr Fix It, manning the LPG station and organising the campers. To Andrew Phelan from Canowindra High School and his Duke of Edinburgh students, who got up early to act as a Target Team every day, again a huge thanks.
Without the support of our local advertisers and sponsors we could not make it happen, so thank you. The involvement of our community keeps growing and we hope you enjoyed the week and we look forward to your support again next year.
This year we had a children’s’ art competition. Many people stopped to look at the beautiful display’s in Gaskill St. The winners were Primary, Amelie Kerr and Infants, Harvey Gordon. The judges had a hard time as the standard was very high. To Destination NSW, Cabonne Council, Canowindra Showground Trust, Kennards Hire, Prime 7 and our local tradies, who dropped everything when we needed them, all deserve a special thanks.
We look forward to April 2019.
Kind Regards,
Canowindra International Balloon
