In May, 2022, the Grant family were hit with some life changing news, our son and little brother, Jamie had been diagnosed with leukaemia.
Jamie has responded incredibly well to treatment and is officially in remission.
The months, weeks and days have been long while Jamie had a long stint in both Orange and Nepean hospitals. We are forever thankful to the staff of both oncology units.
When Jamie was released from Nepean hospital, he continued treatment as an outpatient at Orange Base Hospital. Jaimie had to make daily return trips to Orange Base Hospital.
We are eternally grateful to Annette Thomas, who has helped with transporting Jamie to these appointments and home safely.
We would also like to thank the community of Canowindra for all their support. Special mentions to the Canowindra Bowling Club, Canowindra Rugby League Club, Canowindra Lions club, the McNaught family, Larry Nunn, David and Christina Rice, customers and staff at Lawrence’s IGA, Canowindra Senior Rugby Club, and finally Karl and Helen Kemper for the generous donation which has helped immensely with travel and medical expenses.
We are also very appreciative of the messages, phone calls and kind words from the community. They have all been very comforting and not one has gone unnoticed
Thank-you from the bottom of our hearts,
The Grant family.
