Tallulah is coming out of retirement to support Emily Thomas as she represents Australia at the Pacific Mini Games.
The Pacific Mini Games 2025, scheduled from 29 June to 9 July, in Koror, Palau, will feature athletes from 23 Pacific nations competing across 12 sports. Canowindra’s Emily Thomas will proudly represent Australia for the first time at these games, competing in the Hammer Throw.
Emily is incredibly proud to carry the support and spirit of her hometown with her on this journey, and says she wouldn’t be here without the amazing Canowindra community behind her.
However, many don’t realise that athletes like Emily receive no financial assistance from Local, State, or National Governments – not even Athletics Australia.
From travel to uniforms, everything must be self-funded.
A fantastic fundraising night has been organised for Friday 13 June to support Emily’s trip to Palau. The Drag Bingo Night will feature the fabulous Tallulah, coming out of retirement for one night only to help Emily.
Tommy Jeffs has been busily rehearsing and is ready to entertain!The evening will also feature an auction, with items including a stunning painting donated by Sue Hodge and gorgeous garden art from Ben and Emma Roots at Weldex Fabrication.
The raffle will feature some amazing prizes curated by Tom Beath, including the first prize of three nights accommodation at St Mary’s Leagues Club, including a $200 beverage and food voucher at the club.
Second prize is a full lamb, roast leg of pork and a whole beef rump and third prize is a $100 Services Club vouchers and a $50 IGA voucher.
