Hi guys & welcome back.
Last time we touched on the fact that people with chronic back pain tend to re-injure themselves through basic activities. These basic movements are things we do every single day without any issues; like picking up a pen off the floor, sneezing, lifting and twisting just to name a few. So WHY does this happen?
Why can you do the same thing 1000 times with no problem and then all of a sudden you’re in pain? One reason is because of poor functional control. But what controls your function? The same thing that controls almost all function in your body; your nervous system. When your brain doesn’t receive the proper messages or the messages from your brain aren’t received to the muscles correctly, we get dysfunction. Movement then becomes poor and not executed with precision leading to injury from basic, trivial movements. A properly functioning nervous system is a fundamental requirement to function properly.
Chiropractic enhances the same neurological function required to perform movement efficiently & effectively. That’s why most people feel amazing while under chiropractic care. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to fill out the below form.
