Mark Ward from Swinging Bridge Wines continues his long association with the Canowindra Squash Club by sponsoring our junior players with their annual insurance and club membership.
Swinging Bridge Wines have also continually sponsored the club’s Annual Championships, which this year will be held on the 14th and 15th of June.
Mark’s involvement with the club started in June 1978 as Chairman of a Special Meeting, convened to form a steering committee to discuss the probability of building squash courts under the grandstand at the Canowindra Show Grounds. Current juniors Jamie Austin and Cody Smith play in the mixed Thursday night competition.
Both players have greatly improved their squash skills and fitness over recent months. Rohan Toole another local sponsored junior, continues to excel at an elite level competing in national and international tournaments.
The Canowindra Squash Club welcomes any new juniors and players of all abilities to participate in our friendly Monday and Thursday competitions or to attend social squash during the school holidays on Thursday nights starting at 6:30pm.
