Swimming

22 October, 2014 By Canowindra Phoenix Editor

Over 50 swimmers braved the cold water on Friday. Michael Coady was lead improver of the night as he smashed his 50m backstroke PB by 14 seconds (did he have flippers on?)
Other improvers were Eden Hawker slicing 7 seconds off her PB and Amber Johnson improving her time by 5 seconds, both in the 50m freestyle. The Spoon semis and final didn’t go ahead but hopefully will run as normal this week. In the relay there were 28 swimmers left standing divided over 4 lanes. Lane 2 came out on top just a second over lane 1.
Amelia Earsman, Finbar Smyth, Julia Wright, Dominic Smyth, Marshall McKay, Damon McKay and Connor Munroe all took home their relay pennants.
