Canowindra Pony Club kids are looking forward to welcoming everyone to their annual Swap Meet on 5th and 6th August at the Canowindra Showground
On Sunday, 6th August Canowindra Pony Club will be hosting their annual Swap Meet at the Canowindra Showground to raise much needed funds for their club.
The annual swap meet is the biggest fundraiser the Canowindra Pony Club holds each year, with the proceeds going directly to the running costs for the club such as equipment, ground fees, stabling and administrative costs such as insurance.
Gates will open at 6:30am on Saturday, August 5th for people to browse for a gold coin donation. The catering on Saturday will be provided by the Lions Club, and if last year was anything to go by, the food will be fabulous. A full canteen will be provided on Sunday and of course a wide selection of unique market stalls.
Organisers have predicted a successful turnout this year, with many swappers expected to be present with an extraordinary array of treasures on offer. Organisers are encouraging people to still book a site, hoping to make this year one of the biggest yet.
“Last year in 2022, we had 85 stalls. This year we would like to have a few more, I have been taking calls either for bookings or enquiries for the past two weeks. It’s so great to know that people are interested in wanting a site,” said Karen, Canowindra Swap Meet organiser.
“Some of the swappers travel quite a distance to attend the swap meet to sell their goods, and they have supported the swap meet now for 13 years. I think this year will be bigger and better, weather permitting,” Karen continued.
