The Rice boys continue to prove they are contenders in the woodchopping world.
Last weekend, Lachy, Alex and Matt Rice all competed at the Dubbo Show woodchop with some pleasing results. Matt is starting to improve and made the 250mm standing block final.
Alex (aka Big Al) competed well in his second chop back from a shoulder injury in the double handed sawing with his brother, and placed third in the 275mm front markers underhand.
Lachy won the 275mm underhand final on Saturday and placed fourth in the main event – the Golden Axe 300mm underhand final.
Lachy’s handicap went up 8 seconds after winning on Friday and he is now on a 33 second handicap.
In order to make a final, you generally need to place first or second in the heat.
Both boys will compete in Gatton QLD on 18 and 19 July where Lachy will represent NSW in the u/21s State Relay competition.
