Squash News

5 April, 2017 By Canowindra Phoenix Editor

Squash members were overwhelmed with the response from the Open Day with many prospective juniors and several senior players signing up for the next competition. The next competition begins after the school holidays Easter break. New players are al- ways welcome, phone Sue 0429 846 278.

Various interested people tried their hand on the courts over the weekend but the star attraction was definitely the drills run by Mark and Amber. They were very innovative and lots of fun to watch. The Open Day was very successful and topped off with a sausage sizzle.
The past weeks results: Brendan Nash defeated Jackie Watson 71-63. Jamie Aus- tin was defeated by Amber Muer 52-48. Carolyn Austin downed Wendy McLaren Bowman 55-45. Sue Johnson defeated Da- vid Bigg 56-40. Don Percival topped Fred 57-51. Sandy McDonald just came out on top defeating Kassie Wythes 71-70.
