Last weekend the Pythons travelled to Grenfell to play round two of the competition. At half time the score was 10-7 going Grenfell’s way with Daniel Williams scoring, Ben Schaefer converting as well as kicking the penalty goal. The second half saw some controversial reffing that left the boys fighting until the end. After some guidance from Dan Bowd and Adam Nash the boys were soon back in the game. The Pythons experience and force outshone Grenfell’s young boys as they turned scrums a 90-degree angle to gain possession of the ball.
Jack Knight soon broke out of the scrum and scored to lead the scoreboard 12-10. It wasn’t long before the Schaefer boys, Ben and Dean, made it over the line to make a good lead of 24-10. Sean Wyburn, Adam Nash and Jack Knight were strong in defence keeping Grenfell out. 3 points and Player’s player went to Ben Schaefer, 2 points to Ben Easter and 1 point to Jack Knight and Adam Grant.
