The Canowindra Pythons took on the Rams in Blayney on Saturday, with Blayney scoring the first 4 tries in the first half. After the break the Python scrum was strong and had the Rams on the back foot. The second half saw the boys up their aggression and show some hunger to keep the ball in their possession for a few more phases.
The Canowindra forwards won a tight head feed from 5 out and Clayton Maynard looked certain to have scored the points, though was deemed to be held up.
The Pythons put a lot of pressure on the opposition thanks to some good runs by Jacob Baker and Dude Williams.
Blayney had the last say with a late try to give the Rams a solid victory. Points for the day went to Ben Easter, Sean Wyburn and Luke and Mike Watt, with Adam Grant taking out Player’s Player.
