The Canowindra Tigers travelled to Peak Hill last Sunday to take on the leaders of the competition. The Tigers took an early lead but the game was still a tight struggle.
Peak Hill struck back in the middle of the first half taking the lead, as the Tigers suffered from a reshuffle of players, a knee injury to Matt McLean and a big loss to the forward pack.
The Tigers went on the attack for a comeback, taking the lead after some outstanding teamwork which put them back in front.
With 20 minutes to go, Josh Trayhurn scored a try and Jayden Brown added 2 points for the Tigers to lead 20-12, but the game was delayed after a Peak Hill player broke his leg and Peak Hill fought back to win 22-20.
Player’s Player went to Jayden Brown.
