The first round of Fours Championships was won by Shirley Robson, Moyna Rue, Libby Balcombe and Colleen Crump who defeated Bobbie Turner, Linda Miller, Daph Bryant and Gwen Haydon with a score of 24-11.
The first round of Major Singles saw Betty Jenkins defeat Jean Roth.
In the social bowls games, Jenny Middleton and Marion Wilson defeated Ellen Petty and Sheryn O’Malveney wih a score of 21-15.
