Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed, Something Blue

25 February, 2015 By Canowindra Phoenix Editor

2015-02-12 03.15.40A New Year brings a new batch of lovebirds looking for the perfect wedding venue to Jess & Ben Stanley. The couple took over the renowned wedding and function venue in Eugowra, Eat Your Greens, on the 1st January. Jess and Ben had both worked as chefs at the venue for five years when the offer to buy by previous owners Neil and Jane came about, “They wanted to step back and we wanted to step forward’ says Jess. Keen to keep the menu seasonal and on-trend, the pair say they are looking forward to organising more events such as the ‘Taste of Autumn Dinner’ on 14th March and a ‘Mother’s Day Lunch’ on the 10th May. The Eat Your Greens team don’t just stay on-site for functions, they also do mobile catering, “we’re fully self-sufficient, we can set up a commercial kitchen on any site, whether it’s a farm, shearing shed, car port of paddock! “ says Ben.
Though weddings are ever-popular, the duo can cater for birthdays, anniversaries and other celebratory events on a large scale (up to 1000 people) The indoor area of the venue fits 150 people and outdoors can fit as many as you wish, complete with marquees if the weather doesn’t go your way. “The whole venue is yours to do as you please, you don’t get kicked out of your room at check-out time, while you’re here this is your personal, private space” says Ben. The couple offer one-on-one service, discussing ideas with each individual for their big day. “Nothing is fixed, we can change things to accommodate your needs” says Jess.
