The World Day of Prayer: Is a global ecumenical movement celebrated in over 170 countries on or near the first Friday in March each year. This year in Canowindra, the service prepared by Christian women of Suriname, a small country in Northern South America in the Amazon region, will be held on Friday 2nd March in the Uniting Church on Blatchford Street at 7.00 pm. Everyone is invited to join in the Service and supper will follow.

International Women’s Day Event: The Phoenix will once again host an International Women’s Day Event on Thursday 8th March at The Old Vic Inn on the Balcony.
