Happy 90th Birthday: To Peggy Nash who celebrated her birthday on the 9th February 2018 with family. Peggy has lived in Canowindra her whole life attending Primary School at North Bangaroo and then onto Canowindra High School. Peggy has a daughter Gleniss who resides in Canowindra, and two sons Ian who lives at Freshwater and Ronald from Mungindi, she also has 9 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

Chamber Chatter: The first meeting for the Canowindra Business Chamber was held last Wednesday night and was well attended by local business owners.

International Women’s Day: The Canowindra Phoenix will hold an International Women’s Day Event on Thursday 8th March at 6.30pm at The Old Vic Inn. Guest speaker is Robyn Lewis from Smart Recovery and $5 from each ticket will go to this not-for-profit organisation helping recovering addicts. Tickets are $30 and include drink on arrival, canapes and music from Nerida Cuddy. Purchase your ticket from the Phoenix Office today at 84 Gaskill St.

The Triple C Update: Groups are now up and running at Orana House with Craft on Mondays from 11am – 2pm, Mosaic on Tuesdays from 10am to 3pm and Writers Support Group the first and third Mondays each month from 6pm to 7pm. Basic materials provided and attendance by donation. You are welcome to join for creativeness, great company and making new friends. The Make, Bake or Grow It Markets: Hosted by the Triple C will be on Friday and Saturday 27th and 28th April from 9am to 3pm in the Canowindra Services Club auditorium. If you are interested in having a stall or to put items on the Triple C table please contact Deb on 6344 2490 email debrutter@bigpond.com This is a great opportunity to showcase your products and produce.
