Stork News: Jack Francis Lawrence was born on 18th January 2018 at 6pm. Weighing 3,550g and 50cm long. Proud parents are Ronald Lawrence and Kaila Millar. Grandparents are John and Gleniss Lawrence and Malcolm and Shona Millar.

Community Bank Update: Make sure you have a chat with the Community Bank members this Saturday morning and discuss how you can pledge your support. They will be available from 9.30am near the front of IGA in Gaskill St. With a great example of how a Community Bank can contribute to the Community, The Boorowa Branch which has been going for 16 years has contributed over $1M into the local community of Boorowa. After the first few years this Branch was in a position to pay dividends to local shareholders, and profits are now equally distributed between their shareholders and community projects.

Double Demerit Points: As we get ready to celebrate Australia Day, and school holidays are coming to an end for local students, drivers are being reminded that double demerit points will be in force for four days for this long weekend. Double demerit points will be in force from Thursday 25 January to Sunday 29 January (inclusive) for all speeding, seatbelt, motorcycle helmet and mobile phone offences.

Physio and Pilates By Danni: Pilates classes will resume for 2018 on Saturday 17th February at The Workshop on Ryall St. If you would like to find out more about how Pilates can help you please call or email Danni on 0433 638 156 or email physio.pilates.danni@gmail.com

Christmas Day Lunch: The 2017 Christmas Day Lunch was a huge success with approximately 100 people attending. Thanks are abundant to many people an organisations who assisted to make this special community day possible. Individual volunteers who prepared the hall and the food, organisations provided resources, the Bowling Club provided the excellent venue, drivers picked up people needing transport, and local shops and media outlets brought awareness to the public, the Committee who plan throughout the year to ensure everything runs smoothly and most of all thank you to the guests who came along and shared their Christmas and meal with us. This is a fine example of people working together to celebrate Christmas and community.
