Jowett Car Club Pay A Visit: Founded in 1957, the Jowett Car Club is the world’s oldest continuously operating single make car club. Members drive from all over the country including Queensland, NSW, Victoria, Western and Southern Australia to take part in the club’s biennial rally. On Monday morning members headed to Canowindra in Bradfords and Javelins to have lunch at the Public School. They then checked out the Age of Fishes Museum and Canowindra Motors before getting ready to head home on Tuesday. Safe drive!

Art & Craft Markets: The Art and Craft Market Day held on Sunday saw more than 12 stallholder attend, providing a great occasion to showcase the creative and productive talents of our local people. Both professional artists and those who enjoy the craft attended. The markets were such a hit it has opened conversation to hold the markets as an annual event in conjunction with the Balloon Challenge. The Canowindra Creative Centre (Triple C) wish to thank the stall holders, contributors and visitors who supported the day. Congratulations to Amy Galea, who won the raffle on the day.

Lest We Forget: ANZAC Day is just around the corner and though this is a day of two-up and catching up with friends it is also a day to remember the fallen. If you would like to commemorate a loved one or family member with a tribute to them in next week’s edition, please call Roselea on 6344 1846.

Happy Birthday Coot! Coot Grant celebrated his 60th birthday on Saturday with a surprise birthday party at Moorbel Hall. Coot was led to the hall and was shocked to see friends and family gathered there to share in the festivities, which carried on until way into the early morning.
