Canowindra Public School: Are on the hunt for a new Crunch n Sip coordinator! It only takes about 1 to 2 hours a month….. collect fruit from Gaskill Greens, cut up fruit in the fantastic canteen kitchen and deliver to classrooms. Super easy and the kids really enjoy trying new/different fruits and veggies. For more info please contact either Belinda Neville, Mel Stanbury, Tamara Pearce or Beth Gordon. Don’t forget to like our Facebook page Canowindra Public School P & C Association.

The Canowindra Creative Centre Inc: Hosted a very successful Blacksmith Day demonstrated by Dave Walker from Cargo’s
‘All Things Sharpened’ at the Canowindra Showground on Saturday 9 September. Thirteen participants took part learning techniques, equipment required and safe working skills and taking home a finished product they each made on the day. Many thanks to Dave for sharing his vast knowledge and love of this traditional craft. Many thanks to the Canowindra Men’s Shed for providing a sausage sizzle, to the Canowindra Showground Trust for providing the excellent facilities for the day and to the participants who came from Canowindra, Cargo, Bathurst and Mullion Creek. It was a very productive day where everyone enjoyed their time together sharing and learning this amazing craft. Additional Workshop Days are planned for 2018.
