Stork News: Former Canowindra boy Jason Gilroy and wife Renee from Marulan are rejoicing with the birth of their first child a girl, Adelyn Rae Gilroy, born on the 6th March 2017, weighing 6LB/5ozs. Grandparents are Peter and Bernadette Masters from Robertson, Heather Gilroy from Victoria and Peter Gilroy from Canowindra. Adelyn is a great grandchild for Fay Gilroy from Canowindra and 13th for Nancy Morrow. Also John and Jennifer Mclean from Victoria.

Funky Hair Day: At the Canowindra Public School raised $266.30 for the Leukemia Foundation. A big thank you to everyone who came with hair styles big and small to support a great cause.
Canowindra Pythons: Unfortunately didn’t get to play the Drummoyne game on the weekend due to weather conditions, however a lot of the team still went down to have a drink with the Drummoyne players and to watch the Waratahs vs Brumbies game, with the Junior Pythons playing the curtain raiser.
Women’s Bowls Birthdays: Three members are celebrating birthdays this month, Daph Bryant on 22nd, Joyce Middleton on 23rd and Jeanete Wheeldon on 25th. A very happy birthday to you all!
Pythonetties in Canberra: A busy weekend for the Pythonetties as they headed to Canberra to watch the Giants beat the Adelaide Thunderbirds. “It was very exciting that the girls got to cheer them on,” Mandy Towsend said.
Year 12 Learn Fine Dining: Tommy at Montrose House hosted a special evening for the Canowindra High School Year 12 class to teach them about speaking and fine dining. “I am proud to be apart of this adult concept for young adults preparing them for the exciting world out there,” Tommy said.
Pig Push: Will be coming through Canowindra on the 29th of March at 4.30pm to raise money for Country Education Foundation of Australia. The Boorowa based idea has 120 people per day participating in pushing the pig from Boorowa all the way to Orange.
