Parliament Of NSW Youth Forum And Public Speaking Competition: Last Wednesday, 17 June, Canowindra High School year 11 SRC representatives Darcy and Jonty attended the Parliament of NSW’s Youth Forum at the Cowra Civic Centre.
They were joined by students from schools around the region to discuss issues impacting young people. The round table style forum was led by NSW Legislative Council President, The Hon. Ben Franklin MLC, local State Member, Ms Steph Cooke MP and other senior figures and Members of Parliament. Darcy also participated in the Public speaking competition and gained positive feedback for the content of her speech and some useful feedback to improve when she competes next year.
